What we do

Collaborative Planning

Strategic Water Management
& Habitat Restoration

In the Deschutes Basin, we bring partners together to restore flows, balance water use and revitalize critical habitat. Through efforts like the Deschutes Basin Water Collaborative, which unites stakeholders around basin-wide water planning, and the Deschutes Partnership, a long-standing alliance working to restore salmon and steelhead habitat, we work to align strategies and resources to support healthy rivers across the Deschutes Basin.

Deschutes Partnership

The Deschutes Partnership unites the DRC with the Deschutes Land Trust, the Crooked River Watershed Council, and the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council to restore streamflow and habitat for salmon and steelhead in Whychus Creek, the Crooked River, and the Metolius River.

Deschutes Basin Water Collaborative

Co-led by the DRC, the Deschutes Basin Water Collaborative aligns basin stakeholders to balance competing water demands and create a comprehensive water management plan.
